When it comes to presenting images, some people may consider it lying when a photo is edited. Those people do have a valid point. Rarely will you see one of my photos exactly how it looked when I shot it.
I’ll be the first to admit my work is heavily edited. Reality is exciting, but it’s also a lie.
As you have probably seen by now, I like to take photos at night. If you actually look at these locations at night, they all look yellow. At night everything is a brownish yellow because of lights. This isn’t reality, it’s been edited by colored lighting.
I edit because I like to bring out the ideal reality – what people want to see. What I wish I could see.
